Guest Minister: Clint Smith

Reverend Clint Smith has been preaching the gospel for over thirty years. During this time, he has assisted as an evangelist in numerous revivals throughout the North GA area.  He also has served in youth ministry for 10 years and currently is the Sunday School director at Hightower Baptist Church.  He teaches Sunday school for both in person and online ministry.

Clint was born and raised in the Holbrook Campground community attending camp meeting his entire life. Early in his life he attended Orange Methodist Church, and he currently is a member of Hightower Baptist Church.  

He and his wife Michell have been married for 24 years and have three children, Riley, Connor and Anna Beth. As a family they enjoy spending time on the lake and traveling.

Clint is excited to be sharing the gospel this year at Holbrook and looks forward to being among family and friends. Most of all, he looks forward to watching God work and souls being saved.

Guest Minister: Jared Lathem

Pastor Jared Lathem is the Lead Pastor of New Beginnings Methodist Church in Kennesaw, GA. A native of GA, he is the son of retired Global Methodist Church elder Dr. R. Warren Lathem, Jr., and the seventh generation of his family to attend Holbrook Campmeeting.

Before serving in Kennesaw,  Pastor Jared planted a church in East Cobb and served on staff at Mt. Bethel Church in East Cobb, North Ridge Church in Richmond, KY, and Ball Ground UMC in Ball Ground, GA.

Jared is married to Lim (pronounced “Leem”) Lathem, and together they have four children: Zoe (18), Elijah (16), Alana (10), and Zyana (9).

Host Pastor: Reverend David Laycock

Reverend David Laycock has been pastor at Macedonia Church and a part of Holbrook Camp Meeting for thirteen years. He loves the community and desires for more of God’s Holy Spirit in our lives. He and his wife Julie Anne have been married for 19 years. Their two children, Micah and Sydney, are 16 and 14 respectively.

He believes that God is going to transform hearts and minds during this time of Camp Meeting, and his prayer is that the effect will be felt in a wide sphere of influence. May the Kingdom of God break into this world in a new and fresh way.

Song Leader: David Boggs

David Boggs received a BME degree from Shorter College and a Master's degree in choral conducting from the University of Cincinnati. He has been teaching K-5 music in Georgia since 1995, and has been at Avery Elementary in Canton, GA since 2007.

David has been involved in worship music since the late 1980's. He is a singer/songwriter and composer. He has led worship and the choir at Damascus Baptist Church, was choir director at Westside Baptist Church in Ohio, music director at Oakland Heights Baptist Church, was involved in the music programs at Mt Paran North Church of God, and was choir director at Eastwood Baptist Church. David is currently the choir director at First Baptist Church of Acworth.

David and his wife, Kim, currently live in Woodstock, GA. They have six children and nine grandchildren.
